Our FREE hands-on workshops provide engineers, researchers and educators with a valuable opportunity to learn more about COMSOL Multiphysics and its many applications. With a brief introduction and live demonstration, these workshops are designed to cover the fundamentals of modelling simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics. The hands-on portion of the workshop allows attendees to test drive the software by building a model from scratch, allowing each person to leave with the ability to experiment with their own simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics.

Participants will learn about COMSOL’s Particle Tracing Module, which is designed to model the motion of particles driven by external fields, such as electric field and fluid flow field.

Key contents include:

  • Applications such as rotating galaxy, particles in mixers, cell separation, magnetic lens, filters, and spectrometer, etc.
  • Interfaces
  • Key features
  • Multiphysics Couplings
  • Modeling strategy
  • Hands-on exercise: Pipe Erosion due to Contaminant Particles
